Blue Peter presenter and Strictly Come Dancing star Gethin Jones popped in to an Oxford school to surprise a budding young artist.
Mr Jones was at New Marston Primary School, Copse Lane, yesterday to present Lucy Campbell, 11, with a Blue Peter Badge for sending in a drawing of the show's presenters.
Lucy, who lives in Old Marston, said: "I really wanted a badge and I really like art, so I thought why not do a picture of them?
"I felt quite shocked when he came, because I didn't realise it was going to happen."
Headteacher Zara Darchambaud said keeping Mr Jones's visit a secret had been a challenge: "We had to get them in without anyone seeing so we crept up the corridor and he burst into the class - they were all very calm, working, then suddenly their faces were just surprise and shock.
"The children were very excited and everyone was a bit starstruck, including the teachers."
As well as presenting Lucy with her badge, Mr Jones showed off some of the moves he learned in Strictly Come Dancing, giving one of the teaching assistants a spin on the dance floor.
The whole episode was filmed and will be appearing on Blue Peter in the next few weeks.
