A school is hoping to trace as many former pupils as it can to join a big reunion for its 150th anniversary.
North Hinksey Primary School is also inviting people to join two special open days to celebrate its landmark year. Teachers at the school are using the anniversary as a way of teaching its current intake of 170 children about life in Britain since the 19th century - and the school is particularly keen to hear from old students who have interesting stories, photos or memorabilia from the school's past.
The school in North Hinksey Lane has been attempting to contact ex-pupils through the popular Internet site Friends Reunited.
It has also tracked down a number of former teachers and school governors now living away from Oxford.
The school is particularly interested in hearing from evacuees who were sent there during the Second World War, or any pupils who attended the school during the war years.
It is also looking for pupils with memories or records of the old school site, which it left in the 1970s, in North Hinksey Lane.
Headteacher Sally Wheatley said: "We are looking to receive contact from as many ex-pupils as we can to make the reunion and our celebrations a big success. It will be a nice chance for former pupils to get together and reconnect, and will also teach our current children about how life has changed over the years."
The school reunion will be held as an open day at the school on Saturday, March 29, from 10am to 1pm. Two further open days for ex-pupils and members of the community take place on Wednesday and Thursday, April 2 and 3, from 9.15am until 1pm.
Any former pupils who want to attend or have interesting stories or memorabilia to share should contact Mrs Wheatley on 01865 248626.
