Disgraced Euro-MP Ashley Mote is planning to tour the district in his campaign bus, despite being told he is not allowed to park up in a Witney shopping centre.
Mr Mote, who was jailed for nine months last year after being found guilty of falsely claiming more then £65,000 in benefits, was told his single-decker bus was too big to bring to the Woolgate shopping centre on Tuesday, March 18.
However, the MEP said he would now take his bus on a tour of the Witney constituency. Anyone from who wants to meet Mr Mote should email him at ashley.mote@btconnect.com instead and arrange to make stops with any constituents who had issues or concerns to raise with him about the European Union.
He said: "I'm sorry that people in Witney have been denied a longer opportunity to meet with me. I have been to dozens of towns and cities in this constituency and have never had a problem being allowed to park somewhere before. However it is now possible for people to meet with me if they get in touch."
