A WITNEY record store was packed to the rafters for a special live performance from critically-acclaimed solo artist Get cape. Wear cape. Fly.
Around 120 fans packed into The Rapture music shop in the Woolgate Centre to see songwriter Sam Duckworth perform under his unusually titled alias on Wednesday night.
The Southend songsmith played a set of eight songs including Call me Ishmael and Chronicles of a Bohemian Teenager as well as material from his new album Searching for the Hows and Whys, which was released nationwide this week.
The NME award nominated artist stayed in the store for around two hours after his set signing memorabilia and talking to fans.
Store manager Gary Smith said: "It's great for the town. The word gets around among the kids and they really appreciate it. There's only really one live music venue in Witney and they don't really put on new bands so its a great opportunity for people to come and see their heroes.
"It was brilliant for them because it gave them a chance to get close to the artist which you don't normally get to do at a regular gig.
