More than a thousand gifted young musicians will be getting together this weekend to take part in a festival of music.
A total of 1,230 youngsters are set to be involved in the Oxford Festival of Music for Youth, at Bayards Hill School, Waynflete Road, Barton.
It is one of 57 regional festivals across the country, and will include performances from 48 groups, most of which are from Oxford and Oxfordshire.
And those taking part will have the opportunity to be among 300 groups nationally selected to take part in the National Festival of Music for Youth, which will be held in Birmingham in July.
