Results are in after a night of elections in Wantage and Grove - and Wallingford.
People in Wantage and Grove went to the polls yesterday to elect members for Oxfordshire County Council, the Vale of White Horse District Council and Wantage Town Council.
The Conservatives took two seats with John Irvine Morgan winning a seat on the Vale of White Horse District Council to represent Charlton Ward and also Wantage Town Council.
Liberal Democrat Jenny Hannaby battled it out with Conservative Bill Melotti and Jean Nunn-Price of the Labour Party to win a seat on Oxfordshire County Council.
She beat Mr Melotti by 115 votes and will represent the Grove and Wantage division.
The three elections were called following the death of Wantage councillor Jim Moley, who died in January.
Meanwhile, Independent candidate Lynda Atkins was the clear winner in Wallingford.
She replaces Lord Bradshaw who resigned his Oxfordshire County Council seat because of work pressures.
Ms Atkins gained more than twice the number of votes polled for her nearest rival, South Oxfordshire District Council chairman and Conservative Pat Dawe, who lives in Cholsey.
Labour's Peter Gill was third with 69 votes.
