INQUESTS have been opened into the deaths of seven people killed in a head-on car crash, including a man from Chipping Norton.

Gloucestershire coroner Alan Crickmore opened hearings into the deaths of two drivers and five of their passengers in the crash between Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh at the weekend.

Ryan Bott, a former Chipping Norton School pupil, was a passenger in a Peugeot that collided head-on with another car on Friday, March 7.

The hearings at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court were adjourned to a date to be fixed. All will be heard at the same time.
