A BBC film crew has been in Abingdon shooting a new sitcom -Coming of Age - set in the town and written by local man Tim Dawson, 19, while at Abingdon and Witney College.
A pilot was broadcast last year and BBC3 has commissioned a series of six.
Mr Dawson said: "It's really weird seeing all these people, all because I wrote a script and they've all arrived to make it happen.
"We've actually been in the college and all over Abingdon, so it's all going to be completely specific to the area so hopefully local people will enjoy it."
Mr Dawson's mentor is Paul Mayhew-Archer, co-writer of The Vicar of Dibley, who also lives in Abingdon.
Mr Mayhew-Archer was giving a talk at a school in the town when Mr Dawson introduced himself and then "bombarded him" with scripts.
Mr Mayhew-Archer passed them on to a producer friend.
