A woman has been left without a summer garden table for her grandchildren after a lightning strike.
Anna Herron, who lives in Northway, near Headington Hill in Oxford, received a photo of her shattered glass table from her daughter on the morning of September 6.
The 55-year-old had been staying with her youngest daughter in Cheltenham whilst her oldest daughter and grandchildren looked after her home in Oxford.
Miss Herron said: “My daughter is slightly deaf, but she said she heard something crashing in the night.

“She went to check in the morning and the table had completely shattered.
“I was gutted because I only bought it last year, but there’s nothing I can do.
“Thank God it didn’t harm any of the children.
“I have eight grandchildren in all and it would have been a lovely table for all of use to sit around in the garden.”
