A new venture for businesswoman Sally Hammond fulfils a long-held ambition, sparking off hopes of owning a small chain of shops within the next few years.
Ms Hammond, 50, of Wilsham Road, Abingdon, has just opened a boutique shop called Juno, in Little Clarendon Street, Oxford. She hopes it is just the start of something bigger. She said: "I'd love to open a shop in Abingdon within the next two years and have a small chain of similar shops."
She has spent her working career in buying for groups like Country Casuals, Boots and WH Smith. She said: "My heart has always been in fashion and opening the shop has helped me realise an ambition. As well as selling the clothes I'm offering a one-to-one consultancy - a bit like Trinny and Susannah but without the need for therapy afterwards!"
