South Oxfordshire is one of the top 20 places in the UK when it comes to quality of life - and the only local authority in Oxfordshire to be in the list.
The list was compiled by the supermarket chain Somerfield in a Quality of Life Index, which took into account income, job security, health, fear of crime and level of debt.
Hart in Hampshire came top, followed by Wokingham and Surrey Heath.
All the top ten authorities were within 50 miles of central London - and all the top 20 were within 75 miles.
The top 20 local authorities were: Hart, Wokingham, Surrey Heath, South Buckinghamshire, Chiltern, Elmbridge, Tandridge, Waverley, Mile Valley, Uttlesford, South Cambridgeshire, South Northamptonshire, South Oxfordshire, St Albans, Epsom and Ewell, Mid Sussex, Horsham, East Hampshire, Windsor and Maidenhead and East Hertfordshire.
