The body of a man was found at the rear of a shop in Bicester at the weekend.
On Sunday morning, a member of the public found the man, aged in his 40s at the back of Clark's shoe shop, next to Superdrug, in Sheep Street.
The member of the public contacted the police at about 10.40am and the man was declared dead at the scene.
Toby Shergold, spokesman for Thames Valley Police, said: "We are treating this death as unexplained but it is not believed to be suspicious.
"We are waiting for the post mortem report from the coroner."
