POLICE have renewed their appeal for witnesses following a hit-and-run incident in Bicester last month.
At about 7.40pm, on Sunday, February 17, a white van collided with a 21-year-old man, as he crossed at the traffic lights outside Bicester Community Hospital in Oxford Road. The van was then driven off in the direction of Bicester Village.
Sgt Bryan Smith, of Bicester Roads Policing department, said: "The driver failed to stop after the incident.
"During the collision, the nearside wing mirror fell off the van and was left at the scene. "Firstly, I appeal to the driver of this van to get in touch with police.
"I would also like to appeal to anyone who has seen a van, which we believe could be a Vauxhall Vivaro, a Nissan Primstar or Renault Traffic, with an 05 or 55 registration, with a wing mirror missing, to contact police immediately.
"The victim was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with head injuries. He has responded well to treatment and has now been discharged."
Anyone with information is urged to contact Bicester roads policing on 08458 505505 or the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555111.
