A city landlord has been prosecuted for allowing a property he rented to fall into a dangerous condition.
Rizwan Sultan, of Rymers Lane, pleaded guilty to a breach of the Housing Act 2004 at Oxford Magistrates' Court for offences relating to a house in Kelburne Road, Cowley.
The property was in such a dangerous state Oxford City Council had to carry out emergency work.
Sultan, who was fined £450 with £295 costs, will also have to pay for the council's emergency repairs, a bill estimated at several thousand pounds.
