Official figures have shown the biggest fall in Oxfordshire teenage conception rates since 1998.
Figures released by the Office for National Statistics show the number women aged under-18 getting pregnant fell from 390 in 2005 to 318 in 2006 - a reduction of nearly 18 per cent.
Oxfordshire teenage pregnancy co-ordinator Chris Etheridge said: "This demonstrates the benefits of all the work we have undertaken in the last few year to improve access to contraception and sexual health services for young people."
