ARMED robbers escaped with £300 last night after raiding a bookmakers in Bicester.
At about 7.10pm, two men wearing balaclavas entered William Hill Bookmakers in Market Square, forced one customer, a man, to get on the floor and then threatened two members of staff with a firearm.
Det Sgt Richard White said: "The two men threatened the man and woman and told them to hand over cash. They then left with around £300.
"I appeal to anyone who was in the Market Square this evening and saw two men running down the street, or possibly making off at speed in a vehicle to contact police immediately.
"Thankfully nobody was injured during the robbery but were left very shaken by the incident."
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Bicester CID, via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you do not want to speak to police and do not want to leave your name, contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
