A 57-year-old woman who was punched in the head by a teenage girl as a gang of youths filmed the attack said the ordeal had left her humiliated.
Ellen Howard was outside a parade of shops in Littlemore when she fell victim to a so-called "happy slapping" - a violent attack filmed on a camera phone.
Mrs Howard was set upon after visiting the shops in Cowley Road, at 2pm on Wednesday, February 27.
She said: "I could see one of them holding the camera and laughing while I was getting kicked in. I was absolutely shocked, it just came out of nowhere.
"There were ten of them and all I wanted to do was get through to the shop without being intimidated."
Mrs Howard, who has lived in Littlemore for 22 years, added: "They were shouting at me, saying I was a racist and a drunk.
"I asked them to move out of my way and went inside the shop and two of them followed me in. They started laughing at me - I didn't do anything to them."
Mrs Howard was then pulled to the floor outside the shops and punched in the head.
She said: "I fell down and tried to run but she was right on top of me and she forced me against the pavement.
"It has left me shocked. I don't want to go out the door any more."
- A 15-year-old girl has been arrested and bailed to return to St Aldate's police station on Thursday, March 20.
