A WITHDRAWAL and deposit machine could be installed in Wallingford as part of a plan to support areas affected by bank branch closures.
The machine would be unstaffed and placed in a library or community centre and will allow businesses to cash in their takings during opening hours.
The government has been planning to bring in new laws to ensure people only have to travel a relatively short distance to access cash withdrawal and deposit services.

Cash is the second most frequently used method of payment in the UK, and around 5.4 million adults rely on cash to a very great or great extent in their daily lives.
The initiative comes after continued branch and ATM closures, and concerns in some quarters that millions of people could be left behind as the shift to a cashless society accelerates.
