Sir - Your correspondent (February 22) complains that unreliable mail delivery has reduced him to sending all his business letters by recorded delivery.
We can only sympathise, but he is lucky to have a local post office at which to record them.
His letter is adjacent to one about the latest round of post office closures.
This time both Farmoor and Wytham post offices are also under threat. One is a community of a size that certainly needs a post office, the other has poor public transport links.
If the post office network is thought to be uneconomic, this is because the Government has been steadily taking away business such as TV licence and benefits payments, then claiming that small post offices are redundant.
