STUDENTS from Christ Church, Oxford, triumphed last night in the BBC's University Challenge final.
The team fought off strong competition from their opponents, the University of Sheffield.
The team won the quiz show title by 220 points to 170 in the programme shown on BBC2.
It is the 14th time an Oxford college has lifted the trophy since the programme began in 1963 - with only six wins for their great rival Cambridge.
