A keen-eyed photographer snapped some haunting pictures of a lightning storm over Oxford last night.
The pictures were taken by Oxford Mail Camera club member Tony Steele who captured the pictures in Jericho using a mobile phone.

The moody shots are reminiscent of a gothic horror film, with the inky blue hues of the evening sky mixing with the lighting bolts making for a series of atmospheric photographs.
Further thunder and lightning storms are expect in Oxford tomorrow afternoon, according to latest reports from the Met Office.
