Oxford's only community radio station is back on the airwaves for a month-long stint.
OX4 FM will broadcast for 24 hours a day until March 28 after it was granted a Restricted Service Licence (RSL) by radio regulator Ofcom.
The RSL, which costs £8,000, went live on Saturday and enables listeners across Oxford to pick up shows including Time to Blaze and Elements of Surprise.
The station is manned entirely by volunteers from Cowley, Rose Hill and Blackbird Leys, including Josh Gale, Mazen Mustafa, Myles Taylor and Ayman Ibrahim.
Presenter Dan Gill said: "The station is basically reaching out to people in the community and giving them a voice so that they can air their views."
Mr Gill said the station was also looking to raise funds towards establishing the station on a more permanent basis.
OX4 FM is available on 87.9FM or through the website ox4fm.net The station has also asked that listeners show their support by sending emails marked "stay on air" to ox4radio@gmail.com
