New jobs are up for grabs as sandwich chain Pret A Manger is opening two new shops in Oxford.

As well as a new outlet in Summertown, there will be a new Pret at Oxford rail station, with both expected to open next month.

The new shops will be managed by Dallas Holdings, one of Pret’s new franchise partners, which is looking to hire up to 24 new team members to work across the two shops.

It takes the total number of Pret shops in Oxfordshire to eight.

This includes two shops in Cornmarket Street, and one at the Westgate Centre.

There is also a Pret at Bicester Village.

The new shops form part of the company’s broader plans to expand into towns and cities across the UK.

The Summertown shop will open its doors mid-September, while visitors to the rail station can get their Pret favourites at the end of the month.

Guy Meakin, interim UK and Ireland managing director at Pret A Manger, said: “Since we opened our first shop in Oxfordshire, Pret has become a firm favourite."

In September last year, the chain said it would open more than 200 UK shops over the next two years, after securing a further £100m cash injection.

The sandwich and coffee chain was battered by the pandemic but said it has seen its city centre sites recover as more workers have returned to the office.
