Several bus routes around Oxford have been cancelled today due to a shortage of drivers.

Oxford Bus Company shared the update with customers this morning.

The company stated “a number” of journeys on the city3, 5, 8, 11, 13, 15, X3, X40 and 400 will not run.

The following routes are impacted:


- city3 from Westgate: 0840, 0942, 0957, 1042, 1059, 1142, 1157 (service will commence at Queens Lane), 1242, 1342, 1442, 1542, 1642, 1742, 1842, 1940;
- city3 from Rose Hill: 0735, 0805, 0912, 1012, 1027, 1112, 1127, 1212, 1312, 1412, 1510, 1610, 1710, 1810, 1910;
- city5 from Rail Station: 0824, 0924, 0952,1000, 1029, 1059, 1129, 1139, 1229, 1259, 1309, 1426, 1436, 1616, 1756;
- city5 from Blackbird Leys: 0816, 0859, 0957, 1026, 1034, 1103, 1133, 1203, 1213, 1333, 1343, 1516, 1656;
- city8 from Westgate: 0755, 0842, 0912, 0956, 1026, 1111, 1141, 1226, 1256, 1341, 1411, 1456, 1526, 1552, 1641, 1756, 1906;
- city8 from Barton: 0750, 0819, 0906, 0936, 1021, 1051, 1136, 1206, 1251, 1321, 1406, 1436, 1521, 1552, 1639, 1709, 1824;
- city11X from Car Factory Gate 0857, 0929, 1001, 1033, 1105, 1137, 1209, 1241, 1313, 1351;
- city13 from JR: 0745, 0929, 1009, 1109, 1149, 1249, 1429, 1608, 1748;
- city13 from Rail Station: 0830, 0915, 1015, 1055, 1155, 1335, 1515, 1653, 1833;
- city15 from Police Station: 0850, 0954, 1054;
- city15 from Wood Farm: 0812, 0924, 1024;
- cityX3 from Barton: 0723, 0823, 1047;
- cityX3 from Abingdon: 0840, 0940;
- cityX40 from Westgate 0950;
- cityX40 from Reading: 0725, 1125;
- 400 park&ride from Seacourt: 0750, 0927, 1105, 1235;
- 400 park&ride from Thornhill: 0835, 1020, 1150.

A spokesperson for Oxford Bus Company said: “Apologies to all affected customers.”
