POLICE are appealing for witnesses after reports that windows of cars and houses were damaged in Horspath, Garsington and Wheatley last night by marbles.
A black, or dark green, Land Rover Freelander with alloy wheels and a spare wheel attached to the back, covered by a black wheel cover was seen in the area at the time.
It is thought that someone fired marbles from the passenger side of the car at the windows of houses and cars as it drove past.
The passenger in the car is described as a white man in his early twenties.
PC Paul Gregory, based at Thame police station, said: "Reducing criminal damage is a priority in our area and we do not tolerate this kind of anti-social behaviour.
"The neighbourhood team are working hard to catch those responsible and I urge anyone who might have seen the car or have any information that could help the police investigation to contact the police as soon as possible."
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Gregory via 0845 8 505 505, or if you do not want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
