TWO cars were stolen by thieves who burgled a house in Oxfordshire and stole car keys.
Police are appealing for information after a property in Thame Road, Waterstock, was burgled between 11pm on Saturday and 7am on Sunday.
The thieves forced their way into the property through the patio doors stealing property including CDs and two sets of car keys.
The offenders then a silver Peugeot 807 and a yellow Audi quattro from the drive. The Peugeot was found the next day abandoned near to the Golden Balls roundabout in Nuneham Courtenay.
PC Ross Duff, investigating the incident, said: "We are keen to catch these thieves and I would like to ask anyone with any information about the burglary to get in touch.
"I would also like to ask the public to remain vigilant and if they see a yellow Audi quattro, registration L4 SXY to contact the police."
Lesley Nesbitt, crime reduction adviser, offered the following advice: "With the improved security of vehicles it has increased the trend for houses to be broken into to try and find the car keys. Please keep your car keys safe and don't leave them in view of downstairs windows or near to the front door hanging up on a hall table."
