Sir - Imagine our disappointment when my wife and I arrived at The Ultimate Picture Palace - often a half-empty cinema - to see The Kite Runner, only to be greeted by the manager with "Sorry full up" which, for regular customers, seemed to qualify as an item for The Guinness Book of Records.
But we knew all was well with the traditional spirit of East Oxford when someone behind me said "I'm really disappointed not to get in, but really happy because at this rate we'll be able to come here to see films for years to come".
