BIN collections are changing next week due to the bank holiday weekend.
People get to enjoy a long weekend with Monday, August 29 being the seventh bank holiday of the year.
However, the bin collection days across the county have changed as a result. The changes are:

South Oxfordshire District Council
Bin collections will be a day later for black bins and food bins:
- Monday, August 29 to Tuesday, August 30
- Tuesday, August 30 to Wednesday, August 31
- Wednesday, August 31 to Thursday, September 1
- Thursday, September 1 to Friday, September 2
- Friday, September 2 to Saturday, September 3
Vale of White Horse District Council
Bin collections will also be a day later for the green bins, food bins, and garden waste.
West Oxfordshire District Council
All bin collections will run a day later with no collections taking place on the Monday
Oxford City Council
Blue zone collections: Mixed recycling and foods bins today (Friday, August 26) and normal rubbish, garden waste and food waste will be collected on Tuesday (August 31) and Wednesday (September 1).
Red zone collections: Normal rubbish, garden waste and food waste today (Friday, August 26) and mixed recycling and food waste on Tuesday (August 31) and Wednesday (September 1).

The final bank holidays of the year will be in lieu of Boxing Day (Monday, December 26) and in lieu of Christmas Day (Tuesday, December 27).
