A church in Banbury was damaged by the early morning earthquake that shook much of England.
A stone cross on the roof of St Leonard's Church in Middleton Road was dislodged by the tremor.
The Rev Mark Charmley said: "The quake toppled the cross from the top of the roof. It damaged tiles on its way down, and it came to rest in the valley gutter between the main church and the vestry.
"I have called our insurers."
