One lorry driver is thought to have died following a crash between two lorries on the M40 during the early hours today.
The accident happened after 2am on the northbound carriageway, between junction six at Lewknor and junction seven at Thame. The second driver was not seriously injured.
The northbound carriageway was closed while police accident investigators worked at the scene.
Two lanes reopened before 6am but traffic remained slow on both carriageways as drivers going southbound slowed to look at the crash scene.
No-one from South Central Ambulance was available for comment.
