A NEW police dog is in training for Thames Valley Police.

PD Pepsi, a seven-month-old black Labrador, is currently in training as search and rescue dog for Thames Valley Police.

The puppy visited the Bicester branch of the police force with a welfare officer to visit staff.

On Twitter, Thames Valley Police said: “Meet one of newest recruits, PD Pepsi. Pepsi is a seven-month-old black Labrador currently in training as a search and rescue dog.

“It has been well documented that people of all ages benefit mentally and physically from contact with domestic animals.

“So Pepsi visited Bicester Police Station today with force Welfare Officer for Oxfordshire, Dawn Wigham - Pepsi enjoyed the fuss.”
