A ROBBER went into a supermarket, said he had a gun and demanded money from the tills.

The incident happened in the Co-op in Ferriston, at around 8.10pm on Sunday.  

Although no gun was ever seen, the thug stole £185 in cash before running away in the direction of Glyndebourne Gardens onto Banesberie Close (in Banbury).  

He was dressed in black motorcycle clothing including a full-face crash helmet.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Sam Buzzard, based at Banbury police station, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident to please come forward.

“If you have any CCTV footage in the area or any dash-cam footage if you were driving in the area around the time, I’d also ask that you check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.
