AN APPRAISAL of the St Clement's and Iffley Road Conservation Area has been given the thumbs-up by councillors.
The appraisal identified the historically and culturally important features of the area which needed to be preserved, and highlighted possible areas for improvement.
It will now have to be taken into consideration when people are making planning applications.
City councillor Craig Simmons said: "I think it's brilliant. This will hopefully be used to protect the area and it is very welcome indeed."
