A FATHER and son have just marked the success of a marathon bike ride which saw them pedal the length of the country.
Roy Pearce and teenager Matthew, of Windmill Road, North Leigh, got on their bikes to cycle 1,000 miles from Land's End to John O'Groats in aid of charities.
The duo celebrated their achievement at the village's Woodman Inn, handing over cheques worth £514 each to Macmillan Cancer Support and the Oxford Children's Hospital.
