A 53-year-old Banbury man was today charged with the murder of Maurice Batts, who died last year.
James Thomas Crane, of Springfield Avenue, Banbury, will appear before magistrates in the town tomorrow.
Mr Batts, 64, was found collapsed on his boat on the canal at Southam Road, Banbury, in September last year.
He died on October 9 at the John Radcliffe Hospital, in Oxford.
Last year, two men and two women were arrested in connection with the murder and were released on police bail until April.
