The story of Graham Sparrowhawk is a welcome cause for celebration.
Thirty years ago, his chances of survival looked slim. He was suffering crippling kidney failure and was forced to undergo 18 hours of dialysis a week.
His life was saved by a man he had never met - a motorcyclist whose own tragic death gave Mr Sparrowhawk a second chance at life.
The story only serves to highlight the importance of organ donation - and the huge benefits of the Organ Donor Register. We encourage everyone to sign up, and give others, like Mr Sparrowhawk, a chance of life after death.
