A mental health trust will carry on making home visits to patients while an investigation continues into the stabbing of two staff.
The Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Mental Healthcare trust is reviewing its home visit policy after two male medics aged 29 and 45 were stabbed while visiting a patient at Celadine Place, Blackbird Leys, Oxford, on Wednesday.
A 42-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder is being assessed by experts at a secure unit. Police have yet to interview him.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has been informed of the stabbing.
A trust spokesman said: "The trust will continue to visit patients in their homes.
"Before any home visit is undertaken, all risks are assessed to determine whether the patient can be visited singularly or in pairs.
"All staff have been informed of this incident, and are aware of the policies and procedures in place to protect them and our patients on home visits."
The 29-year-old man was allowed home from hospital after treatment, but the 45-year-old is in a serious but stable condition at the John Radcliffe.
