Burford School expressed pride in its Year 13 students who, it said, have achieved a fantastic set of A-Level exam results this year.

"Our results are very pleasing with many outstanding individual results," said the school.

Some 31% of grades are A*-A, 58% are A*-B, and 81% are A*-C with 43% of students achieving at least 1A* or A.

"This is none the more impressive as this particular cohort of students experienced a sustained period of disruption to its education with the first COVID-19 lockdown arising a matter of weeks before its GCSEs, preventing it from obtaining an early experience of public examinations," the school said.
