Oxford Mail Camera Club members have been taking some striking shots of animals.
Some of the creatures were captured in their natural habitats out in the wild while other pictures featured family pets.
Each week, we select an outstanding shot for our camera club photo of the week and this week Ian White’s photo of his dog Mabel chewing a football stood out.

Mr White said Mabel’s favourite past-time was shredding footballs and he has caught his pet in the act, looking slightly guilty as she gets to work.
It’s perhaps a happy coincidence but Mabel’s eyes neatly match the colour of the stripes on the football.
Each week camera club members are given a different theme and then post their pictures on the club’s Facebook page, before a selection of pictures are published in the Oxford Mail, and our other titles.

Usually our winning photo is a picture inspired by the theme but sometimes the winning shot does not stick to the subject.
