A MAN was ordered to pay up almost £900 by the courts after speeding 30mph above the speed limit in Oxford.
Paul Jenkins, 56, of Blackmoor Drive, Basingstoke, Hampshire, was convicted of driving at 80mph in a 50mph zone on the Eastern Bypass, Oxford, on April 9, 2021.
He was fined £660, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £150.

His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
The case was heard at Reading Magistrates’ Court earlier this year.
The minimum penalty for speeding is a £100 fine and three penalty points added to a licence.
