A drugs boss who ran a series of street crack cocaine dealers in Oxford has been jailed for five and a half years.
Aaron Willett, 26, of Sawpit Road, Blackbird Leys, was imprisonment at Oxford Crown Court today for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
He was brought to justice after police searched his home last September and discovered £20,000 of cash as well as two and a half ounces of crack cocaine in his nearby Volkswagen Polo.
This amount, when sold on, would have a street value of £4,000.
Det Con Dave Whittle, of Oxford CID, said: "In court, Willett admitted to being actively involved in the distribution of crack throughout Oxford to street dealers.
"He was an important part of the chain of supply, passing on the drugs from major dealers in London to lower-level dealers.
"Willett has a history of violent crime, including armed robbery. This lengthy sentence shows that the police and the criminal justice system will not tolerate the dealing of dangerous drugs in Oxford."
