A motorcyclist killed after colliding with an oncoming car died as a result of an accident, an Oxford coroner ruled today.
Sean Doody, 34, was riding his Suzuki motorcycle in Besselsleigh Road, off the A420, when he was in a collision with a Mitsubishi Shogun on April 11 last year.
The inquest heard that Mr Doody, of Firethorn Close, Swindon, had overtaken another vehicle as he approached a bend on the road to Wootton while going home from work in Oxford.
Mr Doody, a plumber who had been working at the Churchill Hospital in Headington, lost control of his motorcycle as he made his way back into his lane causing him to slide into the path of the oncoming 4x4, another driver, Richard Graham, said.
Mr Doody suffered severe internal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr Gardiner said: "This is clearly an accidental event."
