A HAYSTACK was set on fire in Claydon, near Banbury, earlier this morning (August 5).
Thames Valley Police rural crime taskforce said they were on the scene of an arson to a haystack at around 9:30am.
A spokesperson from the police said: "We are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen a suspicious vehicle leaving the scene moments before the fire started.
"Unfortunately we have no details of this vehicle. If you were driving in the area and have a dashcam please check it and contact us if you have any relevant footage."
Arson is committed if a person without lawful excuse destroys or damages any property by fire and anyone convicted of arson where minor damage was caused will be given a fine and a community order.
