A Headington pub is now urging its customers to make it the winner of the Oxford Mail Best Pub 2022 award.
The Black Boy in Old High Street, owned by Everards, is on a shortlist of 10 pubs in with a chance of winning the title.
Drinkers are now being asked to vote for their favourite by sending in voting tokens which will be featured in the Oxford Mail every day until Saturday, August 13.

Until then we will be featuring all the pubs which made it into the top 10 after being nominated by our readers.
Sarah Glenister, manager of The Black Boy, said she was delighted the pub was in the top 10 and hoped enough customers would vote for it so it could win the title.
She added: “We are delighted - we’re over the moon to be nominated.
“It’s been such a difficult couple of years coping with the pandemic, but during the past few months we have felt like we have really come out of Covid - we’ve got a big garden for our customers and with the sunny weather we have been really busy.”
Ms Glenister said the pub was popular with staff from the local hospitals and customers calling in for food, including Sunday roasts.
There is a two for one pizza offer on Mondays, which are always ‘super busy’, the manager added.
She said: “Hopefully lots of customers will send off their tokens - we would love to win this.”

While Ms Glenister manages the pub, it is run by Simon and Samantha Stonehouse.
Dogs are welcome and you can stay the night - the pub has a number of rooms.
On the first Friday of every month the pub runs a charity coffee morning.
This month’s local charity is mental health charity Restore, which has its headquarters off Cowley Road.
The shortlist for the competition is: The Black Boy, Old High Street, Headington; The White Hart, St Andrew’s Road, Headington; The Brewery Tap, Ock Street, Abingdon; College Oak, Peachcroft Road, Abingdon; The Masons Arms, Quarry School Place, Headington; The Royal Blenheim, St Ebbe’s; The Turf Tavern, Bath Place, off Holywell Street; The Victoria Arms, Mill Lane, Oxford; The Queen’s Arms, Manor Road, Didcot; The White Hart, Godstow Road, Wolvercote.

Oxford Mail editor Andrew Colley said: “I’m delighted these 10 pubs have been nominated and they are all in with a chance of winning.
While most of the nominations are for pubs in Oxford it is good to see Abingdon and Didcot represented too.
“Pubs which have been selected are clearly at the heart of their communities and now it’s the important bit - voting for your favourite.”
Post your voting coupon to: Oxford Mail Best Pub 2022, Richmond House, Units 1 and 2, Edison Park, Hindle Way, Swindon, SN3 3RB.
The closing date for postal entries is Sunday, August 21.
