Sir - I would like to endorse Anne Collieu's comments about the Royal Mail (Letters, February 15).

Since November, they have lost three important business letters of mine, which have caused very considerable problems. I am now obliged to send every letter recorded delivery, for which they charge 70p.

The people with whom I correspond say that this problem only arises in Oxfordshire - other letters arrive, probably late but they do get there.

If this is due to the Oxford sorting office, the sooner they get on with closing it the better. I don't care if my letters are routed through Land's End, provided the wretched things get there eventually.
