NEIL WOODWARD, 52, and Joanne Coughlan, 45, both of Jubilee Court, Banbury, were found guilty of entering a flat in Christchurch Court, Banbury, on November 25 last year in breach of a court-imposed closure order. They were each given a six month conditional discharge.

NICHOLAS JACKSON, 30, of Stanford-le-Hope, Thurrock, was found guilty of beating two men in Henley on August 30, 2020. He admitted using threatening behaviour. The magistrates imposed a community order with 10 probation sessions and ordered he pay £350 in compensation and £500 in costs.

JOHN MCSWEENEY, 42, of Bradstocks Way, Sutton Courtenay, admitted breaching a non-molestation order by using threatening behaviour towards a woman in Oxford between May 30 and June 2. It put him in breach of an earlier community order imposed last year for assaulting the same woman. He was given an 18 month community order with a 12 month alcohol treatment requirement and must complete the Building Better Relationships domestic violence programme. A restraining order bans him from contacting his victim or going to her home until next June. McSweeney was ordered to pay £180 in costs and surcharge.

BERNARD DAY, 51, of Morrell Crescent, Littlemore, admitted stealing 40p from his next door neighbour in Littlemore on March 26. He must pay the 40p back as compensation. He was, separately, found guilty of racially-aggravated assault, assault by beating, threatening behaviour and admitted damaging windscreen wipers. He was sentenced to 14 weeks’ imprisonment and must pay £360 in compensation.

DANIEL ROBERTS, 33, of Gourock, Scotland, was fined £126 and banned from driving for 20 months after he admitted drink driving a Renault Megane on Thornhill Walk, Abingdon, in December 2020. He also admitted driving the car without a valid licence or insurance. He must pay £159 in costs and surcharge.

PATRICE KIRTLAND, 33, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with a community order by breaching her curfew. She was resentenced for the original offences of burgling the James Street Tavern and Cowley Retreat bars in Cowley Road, with the magistrates imposing 12 weeks’ imprisonment.

EMMA COOPER, 40, of Apley Way, Witney, admitted drug driving a VW Touran on the A40 in February. She was over the limit for cannabis. She was fined £392, banned from driving for a year and must pay £85 in costs and a £39 victim surcharge.

GERALD DOHERTY, 44, of Nuthatch Way, Bicester, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Tipper truck on the A41 in Bicester while over the drug driving limit for cocaine and its derivative benzoylecgonine. He was fined £190, banned from driving for three years and ordered to pay £74 in costs and surcharge.

CHARLOTTE MCCOLLIN, 30, of Cowley Road, Littlemore, admitted beating two men in Howard Street and Turn Again Lane in February. The assaults were described in the court register as ‘unprovoked’ and of a ‘serious nature’. She was jailed for a total of 10 weeks and must pay £75 in compensation to each man.
