Last month, former MK Dons and Charlton Athletic boss Robinson highlighted the impact football has had on his family life.
Discussing why he took part in the access all areas podcast, Moment of Truth on BBC Sounds, he said: “There’s a reason why I wanted to do it, I felt it was important that people have an understanding of how people get hurt by the game and how our lives aren’t perfect, and try and promote the fact it’s a difficult job first and foremost.
“The emotions this carries with you and what it does to your family, and what it does to the people closest to you.

“There’s one of the shows with my mum and they follow her to the game, and she speaks to them about what she goes through.
“My daughter speaks how it keeps us apart at certain times.
“I just want people to understand that the reason why I did this, was to make people realise that we’re not perfect.”
