A cannabis 'factory' was raided by police at a mobile home site near Chipping Norton today.
Officers raided two caravans at the Beeches and found 60 plants and a large amount of dried cannabis prepared for sale.
A man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis and taken for questioning at Witney police station, where he was still in custody this afternoon.
Det Sgt Howard Berry said: "This was a compact but professional cultivation set-up.
"Some believe drugs are solely an urban problem, but many people who live in the country are well aware this is far from the case.
"This operation followed intelligence supplied by local people and we would like to thank them for that.
"After the drugs warrants executed last week in the Wallingford area, this is further evidence that we are tackling rural drug issues with the seriousness they deserve."
Anyone with information about this incident should call the police on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
