An unseasonal treat is in store for residents of Chesterton later this month when a village's theatre group performs Babes In The Wood.
The Chesterton Panto Troupe has been rehearsing the production since last October.
The play tells the story of two young orphan children who are forced to go and live with their uncle, the wicked Sheriff of Nottingham.
When he finds out that the children are worth a large inheritance, he is intent on getting rid of them, but is defied at every turn by Robin Hood, ably assisted - and sometimes hindered - by his merry men and a host of other characters.
The show will be staged at Chesterton CoE Primary School, in Alchester Road, on Friday and Saturday, February 29 and March 1, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
All proceeds go to the Chesterton School Association, to help provide additional facilities and resources for the pupils.
Tickets are £6 for adults and £4 for children and OAPs.
