There are three children's shows with puppets, music and animation billed over the coming week at Banbury's Mill Theatre.
Rags to Witches, is a story taken from ancient New Forest folklore and presented by Josh Elwell and Company. On the edge of the forest lives Billy Mario, the international video gaming champion. When an abandoned baby Jackdaw is left on his doorstep Billy's life is transformed in a way that never seemed possible. He sets out on a journey of ancient traditions and spells.
Rags to Witches is on Saturday at 2pm and is suitable for children aged four to seven. It lasts 50 minutes.
Youngsters from six from 11 will enjoy Does a Monster Live Next Door?, a spooky whodunit by the Tall Stories theatre company, which brought The Gruffalo to The Mill last year.
Every day, Maud helps her parents make toys for other children. Every night she hears strange noises as if a monster is trying to get into the house. She needs help and out of the blue comes a mysterious girl who calls herself Detective Frieda.
The show is on Wednesday at 11am and 2pm.
Comedy is the essential ingredient when Professor Bumm and Doctor Whee from the Black Sheep Theatre Company bring their latest invention - a story-making device - to the stage next Friday, February 22.
Suitable for children aged from seven to 12, Professor Bumm's Story Machine has two eggheads racing to turn words and ideas from the audience into new stories.
